Animal Help Alliance: Emergency Medical Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The $500 grant from the Petfinder Foundation came at a critical time for the Animal Help Alliance. With shelters across Nevada facing extreme overcrowding and more animals in need than ever before, small rescues like ours are working around the clock with limited resources.

This grant allowed us to provide vital medical care for one of our rescue dogs, Spanky, giving him a real chance at a healthier, happier life and increasing his adoptability.

Every dollar counts when you're a grassroots organization, and this support made a meaningful difference — not just for Spanky, but for our ongoing efforts to save vulnerable dogs in our community.

The $500 grant from the Petfinder Foundation was a tremendous help in providing essential veterinary care for Spanky, one of our rescue dogs at Animal Help Alliance.

The funding allowed us to address his medical needs, including cherry-eye surgery, nares correction to help him breathe more comfortably, and his neuter. These procedures significantly improved his quality of life and overall health, making him much more comfortable and ready for adoption.

Spanky is still looking for his forever home, and thanks to this grant, he’s now happy, healthy, and one step closer to finding a loving family.
