Danielle (first photo) came to The Animal Foundation as an owner-surrender. During her time in the shelter, she displayed nervous behavior that has ultimately resulted in her having poor kennel presentation, and thus has become a long-stay resident.
It was quickly identified that KONGs are one of her favorite treats, and are in fact the easiest way to get her to take her required medications. This enrichment has helped her come out of her shell, and she no longer displays that nervous behavior.
