Manny (first photo) began showing signs of kennel neurosis almost immediately after entering the shelter. He was stress-barking, developing kennel reactivity, and would pace in his kennel.
We quickly discovered that many of these behaviors declined or were outright eliminated when enrichment in the form of frozen KONG toys was provided. Because of this enrichment, his kennel presentation improved drastically, and Manny was ultimately adopted by a loving family. He was so attached to his KONG that he left the shelter with it still in his mouth.
