How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We submitted this request to help us get veterinary care for three goats that we rescued from slaughter. We were able to get all three goats vaccinated and health-checked and have their hooves trimmed by our mobile vet, which was much less traumatizing for the goats as they did not have to travel to a clinic. They were given clean bills of health and posted for adoption.

Shortly after vetting the goats and listing them on Petfinder, we found an adopter right down the street! Little Man, Middle Man, and Billy Bob now live together on a five-acre property with dogs and chickens and are very happy boys. We never would have found them a home without the help of this grant and the Petfinder website.

Their adopters have also become volunteers and have helped us with several projects since finding our organization, so this was a win-win situation for all of us.
