This grant allowed us to provide enrichment for our animals awaiting adoption in foster homes and our transport program. These toys kept our dogs busy and encouraged playtime and socialization.

We had a litter of puppies awaiting adoption and transport who were temporarily housed in a stall in our horse barn. While the environment offered plenty of sights, sounds, and smells, the puppies did not have access to appropriate dog toys for enrichment.

Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation Kong Toy Grant, we were able to provide durable Kong toys that kept them engaged, stimulated, and comforted during their wait. The toys helped reduce boredom and stress, supported healthy development, and clearly brought the puppies joy as they eagerly interacted with them each day.
