How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We have two special-needs senior dachshunds in our care who are both blind and need extensive vet care, including tumor-removal surgeries and treatment for skin problems. Their vet bills are $2,800 so far and the $250 grant will go towards vet bills, medications and food for these two seniors, Junior and Gigi.
This grant made a small dent in the high vet bills, medicine and food for two blind senior, special-needs dachshunds.

Junior (first photo) and Gigi (second photo) had large tumors that required immediate surgery. Junior had an especially large mass on his leg hind that hindered his movement, which was already difficult since he is blind. With proper vet care, this bonded pair will hopefully live out their golden years in a loving forever home!
