Good Old Tails Senior Animal Rescue: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used the grant to pay for veterinary expenses for new dogs we brought into our rescue.

This money helped us pay for a dental cleaning with extractions for Darla, a senior beagle in our rescue. The money that we saved on that procedure was able to be used for other expenses, including Darla's ongoing heartworm treatment.

(I listed that this grant helped one pet, but really it helped more than that since the money was freed up to be used for other animals!)

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Darla came to us from North Carolina and was a little bit of a mess. She had very bad teeth; gross, itchy skin; and heartworms. She received her dental cleaning, is on medication for seasonal allergies (and got a medicated bath she didn’t like at all!), and is going through heartworm treatment this summer. We have a family lined up to adopt her once she is through treatment.
