Friends and Ferals: Cat Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
With our grant from the Petfinder Foundation, we were able to outfit our foster spaces with cat trees, enrichment toys, beds, and stainless-steel litter boxes to keep those spaces comfortable and clean for our fosters while they are awaiting adoption. We currently have four main foster spaces that house the majority of our adoptables and, thanks to the generosity of this grant, each foster parent was able to update and improve the space for their foster cats.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Sawyer (first photo) and Maisie (second photo) are two of our current adoptable cats who are currently in our main foster space. Though they came into our care separately, they have become incredibly bonded and are always together (third photo).
Sawyer has been struggling with some health issues and recently underwent surgery to remove four polyps from his ear. Because he has been undergoing medical treatment, he hasn’t been available for adoption, and Maisie is unable to be adopted without him.
Both have benefited from their foster space having various cat trees, enrichment games, and toys to keep them comfortable while Sawyer heals and they both search for a forever home.
