With the support of this grant, we made a notable difference by successfully adopting out 15 timid and shy cats from our "kitten community room." This achievement not only found loving homes for these overlooked animals but also opened up crucial space within our facility, enabling us to rescue and care for more animals in need from our extensive waiting list. The grant's contribution played a pivotal role in our mission, facilitating meaningful adoptions and creating opportunities for greater outreach and support within our community.

Sammy’s (first photo) journey is a true success story that highlights the importance of patience and compassion in animal rescue.

Initially arriving at our shelter quite shy and always seeking refuge in his “hidey box,” Sammy had a reserved nature that often led him to be overlooked by potential adopters due to his unassuming appearance.

However, everything changed when a kind-hearted individual looked beyond his initial hesitance and discovered the vibrant personality that lay beneath. With Sammy’s adoption fee generously sponsored by the Kia Pet Adoption Grant, Sammy was given a second chance at finding a loving home.

This heartwarming tale exemplifies how every animal, regardless of their shyness or appearance, deserves a chance to shine and be appreciated for their true colors.
