This grant helped us find an adopter for one of our cats, freeing up a small room so we could use it for other cats brought to our shelter that had to be isolated before going to the vet for testing.

This grant was used for our 11-year-old cat Truman, who had been at the shelter for close to one year. It helped the adopter pay some of the costs associated with Truman, including vet visits, special food, toys and supplies.

Truman has settled into his new home and has not shown any of the signs of stress or anxiety we experienced with him at the shelter. Clearly, he is better off where he is now and we greatly appreciate the financial support we were able to provide to his adopter through the Petfinder Foundation grant.
