Posey came into our shelter extremely fearful. If anyone approached the gate, she lunged at their hands and face. Many of the staff would not even touch her. Luckily, we have staff members that have been trained by DPFL on how to successfully integrate fearful dogs into group-play settings. Posey was a dog who required this stimulation on a daily basis in order to combat the stress of a kennel.

Even though it has rained almost daily recently, Posey still got her daily time to decompress outside thanks to the cover we purchased with financial assistance from the Petfinder foundation. Staff was able to showcase the wonderful potential Posey had outside the kennel.

Luckily, a rescue saw our videos and pics and welcomed Posey into their rescue only 13 days after she arrived. We fear Posey would not have had such a favorable outcome if we had not had the resources to meet her needs.
