Cheatham County Animal Control: Dog Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
One of the daily highlights for our dogs is their time in our two fenced play yards. The Jolly Ball toys are especially popular. We love throwing them for the dogs to retrieve, and they also love to run and play with them. It's a great form of exercise and a fine outlet for their energy. Splashing around in the pool is a favorite activity during the warm months in Tennessee. We are also looking forward to introducing our dogs to the agility equipment, which will provide hours of fun, stimulation and exercise.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Ziggy (first photo) was a shelter favorite who is now adopted! He really enjoyed the toys, and the Jolly Ball was one he especially loved.
Ziggy had the best time in the fenced yard. He especially loved playing with the toys and enjoying games of fetch. He bounded about in total joy and was so agile and athletic. Ziggy was truly poetry in motion!
Getting daily exercise helped make Ziggy more adoptable, and we are grateful to the Petfinder Foundation for helping us provide fun and stimulation with the Dog Enrichment Grant.
