Houston Cares Animal Rescue: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Thanks to the Kong Toy Grant, many of our high-energy foster dogs have been having a blast! We received 15 Kong toys of different sizes and shapes. Within hours of announcing the grant, all the toys were snapped up by our most enthusiastic "chewers" or those needing regular mental stimulation. Our foster parents have been raving about how much they appreciate these special treats for their foster animals. The Houston Cares family is incredibly thankful to the Petfinder Foundation and the Kong Company for their generous donation!

Sahara (first three photos) was in doggy heaven with her new Kong chew toy donated by the Petfinder Foundation! She spent over an hour hilariously puzzling out how to get the last bit of peanut butter from the very center of the Kong toy.
Sahara, a beautiful 6-year-old American pit bull, LOVES to play, swim, walk, dress up, and take long naps with her favorite person. She loves her foster family, but Sahara dreams of finding her FURever home soon! You can check out all of her gorgeous pictures on our social media — prepare for cuteness overload!
