We had several dogs who came into our rescue who were heartworm-positive and, due to their age and other health issues, slow-kill treatment was best plan of action. The $250 Covid-19 grant covered the cost of the medication.

Doja was rescued from a local shelter. She was an older gal and was heartworm-positive and also had upper-respiratory issues. She also had some personality quirks. Her foster ended up foster failing and adopted her.
