Gerda's Equine Network: Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant helped Casey, an owner-surrendered 24-year-old pony who is the sweetest gentleman. He is sound and comfortable and could be used for a lead-line pony or light riding for a beginner child.
Casey has a severe allergy to biting flies and very worn-down teeth. This grant was used to purchase a full flysheet with hood, fly mask, and fly boots ($200). This fly protection will be given to his perfect adoptive family. His adoptive family will also receive a two-month supply of hay pellets and feed, which Casey needs due to his worn-down teeth. Once Casey's forever family is found, this grant will also cover a waived $400 adoption fee.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Casey came to GER as an owner-surrender. He is wonderful with children and would make an amazing young child’s first pony. He truly has so much more to give; he just needs to find the right person who is willing to take on his special needs. In return, they will receive a truly special gentleman who will shower them in unconditional love!
Casey is currently waiting to find his forever home. You can meet Casey here.
