How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

With the help of this grant, we were able to put on an adoption event for 15 dogs. Of the 15 dogs that participated, 11 were adopted as a result of this event. We utilized the grant funds to execute the event and reduce the adoption fees for all 11 dogs. We had originally targeted 10 dogs but were able to successfully find forever homes for 11 dogs. The adoption event was held Feb. 15; all 11 dogs went through a trial adoption period and each adopter was thoroughly vetted.

Adam came to SGA on Jan. 12 after having been found out in the cold in Yakima. At only 2-3 months old, he was hiding in a drain pipe and fending for himself.

He spent some time decompressing in a foster home and then was adopted by a wonderful family as a result of the adoption event.
