Thor’s journey is a testament to the Petfinder Foundation’s impact. Rescued after a grueling 30-hour live-trapping effort, this brave pup arrived terrified and in distress, with his face, body, and paws riddled with painful quills.

The grant funded his emergency vet care, including quill-removal and wound-treatment, giving him a chance to heal. With nutritious food and patient training, Thor has made heartwarming progress — a child can now gently hand-feed him treats, a milestone in rebuilding trust.

Still fearful of humans, he finds comfort in his kennel and continues training, receiving loving care as he works toward adoption readiness. Thor has not yet been posted on Petfinder or adopted, as we are prioritizing his emotional recovery.
