Paws and Claws Pet Rescue: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The KONG Toy Grant helped our organization immensely by providing life-enhancing enrichment activities. When we were struggling to afford boarding for our dogs, we were able to create a temporary facility location and were able to keep our dogs entertained by giving them Kong toys. We were also able to send those dogs with their Kong toys when they went to foster or adoptive homes! In most cases, we were able to recycle the Kong toys and allow more dogs to receive the benefit of the grant.

This is Anchorage! He is our longest resident as of right now. He was in our temporary location and now he’s in boarding elsewhere.
For some reason, Anchorage has not had serious interest and therefore, no adopter. He has been the one to benefit the most from this Kong grant. We can keep him happy by providing him some much-needed mental stimulation while he waits for his forever home!
