The Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant allowed us to cover the adoption fee, food cost, and routine medical-care costs for approximately one year for Mamas.

Mamas had been in and out of the shelter several times since 2021. It was never her fault she was returned; her owners had varying situations arise that wouldn’t allow them to care for her anymore.

Her most recent stay at the shelter was for nine months. With the grant funding, we were able to cover Mamas’s adoption fee along with her medical care and food for approximately the next year.

Mamas has been with her new family for about a month now and she’s adjusting perfectly. She has two cat siblings that have become her best friends. Her new mom said, “Mamas is the happiest girl and a great addition to our family!”
