Grant County Humane Society: Dog Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
GCHS bought a Pro Series Ramp and one set of Pro Series Stairs that our shelter dogs have been very eager to use when playing outside. This has added a different terrain to their play area, and they enjoy running up and down it.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Peyton, who is almost 2 years old, is a female dog at GCHS who has greatly benefited from the new play equipment. She came to GCHS with a cracked femur after she was found hit by a car. After extensive time healing with us, she was adopted.
That was when we learned that she did not do well with small dogs, so she was returned to GCHS and has been part of a fostering program. We’ve learned that she is a little iffy around men, and cats are just a no-go for her.
She’s probably around 70 lbs. and 4-5 years old. We are trying to find the perfect home for this husky-mix girl who is FULL of personality, a true diva, and will be the most loyal friend ever. She enjoys playing on this equipment!
