The Emergency Medical Grant played a crucial role in Nala’s journey to getting the care she desperately needed. It allowed us to proceed with essential testing to diagnose the cause of her seizures, something that may not have been possible without financial assistance. These tests ultimately led to a clearer understanding of her condition, enabling us to find the right medical care to manage it. Without the grant, Nala might not have received the necessary diagnosis and treatment, which has been vital in improving her quality of life and giving her the chance to become adoptable.

Nala’s story is one of resilience and second chances. She was surrendered to us last year due to the expense of her care, as managing her diabetes was already a financial burden. When Nala began experiencing frequent seizures, her quality of life started to decline rapidly.
The cause of the seizures was unknown, and without a diagnosis, there was little hope of finding a way to manage them. The situation became dire, and euthanasia was a heartbreaking possibility if her condition couldn’t be controlled. However, thanks to the Emergency Medical Grant, we were able to pursue crucial testing that ultimately led to a diagnosis.
With the right treatment plan in place, Nala’s seizures became manageable, giving her the chance to live a comfortable and happy life. Without this support, she may never have gotten the opportunity to fight for her future. Now, with her condition under control, Nala has a renewed chance at finding a loving, forever home.
