The Petfinder Foundation's Kia Pet Adoption grant helped Rescue Me WV offer money off on adoptions on select pets. Most of these pets were seniors or dogs who had been with us for a very long time.

One specific dog was Teena. Teena had been with Rescue Me WV for coming up on one year.

Rescue Me WV is foster-based, so Teena had been in a foster home the whole year, but we never stopped looking for the perfect family for Teena.

Teena’s foster family loved her more than anything and, because our rescue provides everything needed for the fosters, the family never had to buy any items for her.

Teena’s foster family loved her so much and had hoped to adopt her, but paying our $300 adoption fee just wasn’t in their budget. However, with the Petfinder Foundation’s Kia Pet Adoption grant, we were able to make that happen and now Teena is now a part of their family forever.
