Cheyenne Animal Shelter: Play Yard Renovation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The Play Yard Renovation Grant from the Petfinder Foundation has had an immense impact on the welfare of our pups! Through this grant, we were able to purchase "coyote rollers" to make two of our play yards safe and secure for our escape artists. Previously, dogs who were able to climb fences had to be let out into small, covered areas for their safety. Now they get to run around and enjoy the sun with plenty of space to stretch their legs. The Cheyenne Animal Shelter is so grateful to the Petfinder Foundation for their help in keeping our dogs safe and happy!

Dillinger has been at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter for 94 days. He is the longest-stay dog we have had this year. Dillinger is looking for a home without young kids and where he can be the only fur baby.
He is so playful and loves to prance and jump after toys. Unfortunately, Dillinger has learned to climb our six-foot fences.
Before receiving the Petfinder Foundation Play Yard Renovation Grant, Dillinger was unable to safely spend time outside in our play yards and could only be walked or housed in small, covered pads. The addition of coyote rollers to our yards means Dillinger gets to run and play while he waits for his forever home!
Dillinger and all the other escape artists of Cheyenne thank the Petfinder Foundation for their generous support!
