Llano Animal Rescue: Emergency Medical Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The grant was for Gideon, a puppy who had been neglected and had skin fungus infections and bacterial infections. He would require medical help to heal these skin issues and he would have to be kept away from other animals until he was not contagious anymore.
Additionally, he would need to be at a foster's home, since we didn't have room to quarantine him at the rescue. We spent around $300 for his medical care, so the $250 grant you provided was a big help.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
After Gideon received the required care and medication at the foster’s home and had become clear and no longer contagious, we were able to take him in at the rescue.
He was very active and a fun young pup whom all the volunteers enjoyed. We advertised him on Petfinder and he was adopted about two weeks later. He now lives on a ranch with two sibling dogs and his new family. Quite a success story!
