Through this grant, we will be able to provide more than 500 cats with scratch pads to increase their enrichment during their stay in our facility. The cats are already enjoying them!

Paco, a 3-year old domestic shorthair, has been in our facility for an extended length of time because he needed to serve a quarantine. As soon as he received a scratcher pad in his kennel, he went to work scratching away! You could tell that he was excited to be able to express some natural behaviors during his stay.

Zinnia, the brown tabby with white, also found a lot of joy in the scratcher. She will be available for adoption soon, and her scratcher will be going home with her!
