Zelda is a 3-year-old black Lab-Weimaraner mix who is still looking for her forever home. Zelda would do best with an adopter who works from home or is retired. She also would rather be the only dog, or live with an older, larger male dog — no females, please!
Zelda does wonderfully in the crate, as long as she can see you or knows you are still home with her. We have noticed that she is experiencing some separation anxiety when we leave her home alone in her crate, which is to be expected. Having activities/toys on-hand to keep her occupied and mentally stimulated is a must.
She does amazing in the car and on a leash. Any time you grab your jacket to go outside, she is right there, ready to go with you. Zelda is very calm while inside; she does get hyper when you throw a ball or stick for her outside, but her manners are 100% still there. She hopes someone will give her a chance; she can’t wait to have a family to please everyday.
