Mission Valley Animal Shelter: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used this amazing grant to offer two different low-cost adoption events. From May 27-31 and from July 15-19, we offered 50% off adoption fees on all animals as well as 75% off adoption fees for all long-term animals (animals who'd been at our shelter for over six months). We had multiple cats and dogs/puppies adopted during the event and we were even able to get a few unready puppies claimed. This grant allowed us to get a lot of foot traffic in here. Multiple unready animals were claimed during this event and adoptions continued well after the event ended. Huge shout-out to the Petfinder Foundation for this wonderful gifts to our animals.

Camile (first photo) is a wonderful shepherd mix who came to our shelter as a stray. She is great with other animals and children. She was met by an amazing family with children during our event and they brought her home (second photo). This sweet girl is now living her best life with tons of love and a kid of her own!
