How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant provides our dogs with new avenues of mental stimulation and healthy outlets to play while awaiting adoption. Since Kong toys are super long-lasting and durable, it gives us a running supply of toys that our future dogs will get to enjoy too! We use them by filling and freezing the toys for a fun and lasting activity, which can be a lifeline for those who have limited enrichment in the rescue environment.

Captain (first and second photos) is one of our long-timers who needs a lot of stimulation to stay balanced. He is obsessed with toys (and is a tough chewer!), so having fillable Kong toys is the perfect combination to give him something to focus on while he waits for his forever home.
Another dog who benefits from this gift is Penny (third and fourth photos), our spunky diva. Penny is a busy bee who needs a healthy outlet – a stuffed Kong is perfect for her!
Both Captain and Penny are still available for adoption!
