Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Koda (photos 1-3) arrived in our care suffering from a severe ear infection that required extensive treatment and repeat veterinary visits every two weeks for nearly three months.
His care included multiple exams, medications, ear treatments, and continued monitoring to ensure the infection was properly healing and not causing ongoing pain or discomfort. His final treatment is scheduled for this week.
In addition to the chronic ear infection, Koda also struggles with arthritis and is currently maintained on 800 mg of Gabapentin daily to help manage his pain and mobility. He also arrived with skin issues that required treatment and monitoring, and thankfully, those conditions are now healing well. His adopters are so thankful for the grant.
Freda (photo 4) entered the sanctuary with a serious skin condition that required immediate veterinary attention and prescription treatment. After completing a 14-day prescription regimen, we continued her recovery plan with therapeutic mud baths every two weeks through our grooming partner to help heal her skin, soothe irritation, and keep fungal issues from returning.
Consistency has been critical in Freda’s recovery, and her skin condition has shown significant improvement through continued care and maintenance.
