How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

There is only a limited amount of time that our techs can have hands-on enrichment with each pet. The Kong toys are a great way to make the pets feel comfortable and at ease in their cage setting. Also, with the Kongs, you are not encouraging the cats to get in a habit of scratching when playing. The Kongs have been a great addition to our array of toys.

A lady came into the vet to get her cat Ziggy neutered. She informed us that she would not be keeping him, and she was trying to find him a new home. After the surgery, since Ziggy was so precious, we told her we could keep him and try to find him a new home.

He is very sweet but very nervous; he loves getting his Kong toys with a Churu inside. He is still waiting patiently for his forever home! You can meet Ziggy here.
