How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

With this grant, we were able to promote adult cats and those who were in foster care longer to attract attention. With kitten season, people are looking for small kittens and adult cats and even older kittens — 7 months or so — unfortunately are overlooked and wait longer. We did two-for-one adoption-fee specials, $25 fees, and even, in some cases, fee-waived promotions, and so far have been able to place 10 of our harder-to-adopt cats!

We have several cats who were especially helped with this promotion: Robin (first photo) and siblings Romulus and Remus (second photo).

All of these cats came to us as tiny kittens but, unfortunately, developed ringworm. Consequently, they had to undergo months of treatment until fully cleared and missed that “small kitten” window.

They were overlooked at adoption events, but running reduced and fee-waived promotions helped bring attention to them.

We appreciate this assistance in promoting these wonderful cats! They are priceless, and certainly not worth less, but reduced and waived-fee promotions get them the attention they deserve!
