Frosted Faces Foundation: Dog Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant was used to purchase new and replace old enrichment toys for dogs housed on-site at Frosted Faces Foundation. The organization provides senior dogs with a comfortable and safe environment, lots of volunteer interaction, and quality veterinary care as they await their forever homes at our facility in Ramona, CA. Frosted Faces maintains an enrichment calendar rotating through various activities for dogs to enjoy when they are not rotating through a play yard. The grant supported the purchase of new essential oils for scent swatches, Kongs and fillings, puzzle toys and treats, and other fun activities. Thank you!
How many pets did this grant help?
Frosted Faces helped more than 800 senior dogs find homes in 2022
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
One example of a dog this grant supported is Smitty. Smitty is one of our Molly and Me Project dogs, meaning he is not well socialized with other dogs and therefore must use a play yard on his own.
Through the Molly and Me Program, we also support families who commit to fostering these dogs for a year and keeping the dog as an only pup in their home with a grant of $200/month to help with pet rent, pet sitters, toys, food, etc.
Smitty used the enrichment toys to support his stay at Frosted Faces Foundation and is now awaiting his forever placement in the comfort of his foster family’s home.
