Napa Bunnies: Other Animals Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The Petfinder Foundation Other Animals Grant provided funds to help care for Papillon, Atlas, Jasper, and Pearl. These four rabbits are part of our Flower Elderbun and Special-Needs Program that allows senior and disabled rabbits to live out the rest of their days in loving homes. By offering the right setup, ongoing support, and expert veterinary care, we can provide fosters and even potential adopters with emotional and financial relief, and forever homes to the animals.
The grant funds were used to purchase new supplies such as low-entry litterboxes, vet bedding, and fleece and washable pee pads to keep the bunnies comfortable, and to help cover the cost of veterinary services (exam, bloodwork, X-rays) for Papillon.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Papillon’s (first and second photos) four legs are all splayed, and she was abandoned at our rescue four years ago when she was just a baby. Because of her disability, she cannot hop like a normal rabbit, but she has adapted quite well and is able to get around! She requires special accommodation and lives in an enclosure covered with vet bedding. She also needs a little extra help keeping her bottom and ears clean.
Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation, we were able to purchase new vet bedding, fleece throws, and washable pee pads, and pay for a complete medical workup.
Papillon is available for adoption or foster through our Flower Special-Needs and Elderbun Program. As part of our commitment to her, Napa Bunnies will provide her complete initial setup and cover her veterinary expenses for life.
