Branford Compassion Club: Cat Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The enrichment grant provided us with many opportunities to improve the lives of our shelter cats. We were able to purchase a variety of toys and treats for all types of cat personalities! Even our shyest residents are feeling more "at home" now with cave beds and enrichment that doesn't involve humans being so close. The treats and toys we were able to get will no doubt help many cats socially blossom and become more adoptable.

We were able to purchase special calming treats, electronic toys, and a perch for Lestat’s (first and second photos) cage. He is a cat who has an unknown history of trauma, and it’s taken several months to really get to know him and help him feel comfortable at BCC.

With all the enrichment we were able to provide for him with this grant, he is doing so much better. Thank you for helping Lestat on his journey to adoption, and for helping our other kitties in need too!
