How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Kia grant helped cover the cost of reducing fees for adoptions: We have several dogs who have been in our rescue (in foster care) for more than a year. They are hard-to-place, older, and dog- or cat-selective. They will require special homes, and while we don't normally offer adoption-fee discounts, with this grant we can do that and make the dogs more appealing.

One of the dogs the Kia grant helped was Remington (Remi). Remi was adopted by a local veteran and, with the help of another group, the entire adoption fee was covered!

Remi is doing wonderfully in his new home, and his adopter is hoping to add another dog to the mix! The family is so grateful for the financial help from the Kia grant and Sadie’s.
