St. Francis Society: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Petfinder Foundation Kia adoption grant is allowing us to offer a two-for-one promotion and make it financially easier for adopters to adopt two kittens. This not only increases the number of kittens we adopt but in turn ensures the kittens are happier by being adopted with a sibling or friend.

We ran the first weekend of the Kia grant as a back-to-school promotion and were thrilled to have six pairs of kittens adopted! With this grant, we anticipate a total of 24 cats and kittens being adopted in total.

In May, two kittens were found scared and alone in the middle of a busy highway. They were brought to one of our Petco partner stores, which in turn contacted St. Francis Society for help.

We took them into our care, and two months later they returned back to the same Petco for the two-for-one Back to School Kia event. We are happy to report that after just an hour at the event, Cricket and Caterpillar were adopted together under the grant special!
