St. Francis Society: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

St. Francis Society was fortunate to receive a Petfinder Foundation Kia grant for $1,000. With this grant, we were able to offer "BOGO" adoptions and 22 cats (11 pairs) found their forever homes!

This was particularly helpful as we offered it during our traditionally slow adoption time from the end of August through September.

In May, Cricket and Caterpillar were found sitting in the middle of a road. Thankfully, a kind person quickly grabbed these two babies and got them to safety. St. Francis Society took them into our foster care, where they were lovingly attended to for almost two months. After all they had been through, the pair were naturally bonded and we knew these brothers needed to be adopted together.

Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation Kia grant, the two were adopted together and will always have each other to lean on (and chase)! We are so grateful to both Kia and the Petfinder Foundation for this grant funding and hope to partner with you again next year.
