How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant was so helpful for the many animals in our care. We have found in our new shelter that many of our animals have shown kennel stress. With the use of KONG toys, our animals are filled with enrichment activities and also show better behaviors to possible adopters. An enriched and busy dog is a happy dog!

We have had many dogs adopted since receiving this grant! One exciting story we would like to share is Mako (photos 1 and 2).

Mako was recently returned to our care and had to have eye removal surgery. Upon returning, KONG toys were beneficial to his well-being and helped keep him calm and happy.

He has since been adopted!
