This grant helped cover the cost of a femoral-head ostectomy for one of our cats, Snowball, who had a broken leg and needed surgical repair.

Snowball was an outdoor kitten whose leg was injured, so he was trapped and brought into Animal Control. He was extremely fractious and undersocialized with humans, but needed medical care.

We pulled Snowball from the shelter and worked hard to socialize him, giving him treats, playtime, and pets every day. Slowly but surely, he warmed up to people.

Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation grant, he got surgery to repair his broken leg and felt so much better! Snowball was adopted as an indoor cat and is thriving.
