How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We are beyond grateful to the Petfinder Foundation for its generous donation of $1,000 towards cat enrichment at our adoption center! This incredible contribution has allowed us to make our space more inviting and engaging for our beloved cats.
With these funds, we’ve been able to add exciting new activities that not only keep our cats entertained but also help potential adopters interact with them in meaningful ways. Now, visitors can see our cats' unique personalities shine through as they play, explore, and connect.

Sven, Miyagi, and Rocket, three brothers, were surrendered to us together, and it broke our hearts to see how scared they were at our Petsmart adoption center. They would hide on top of the shelves, making it nearly impossible to coax them down. These shy boys needed a little extra help to show their true personalities.
Thanks to the Cat Enrichment Grant, we were able to make their environment more comfortable and inviting. We purchased new scratching towers, cat-sized scratchers with playful toys, and cozy baskets that fit perfectly in their kennels. Sven and Miyagi especially loved the baskets, and it was heartwarming to see them finally relax.
With time, Rocket and Miyagi began to show their playful sides, particularly loving the wand toys. Their newfound confidence helped them find their forever home — together! It was such a joy to see these two brothers shine and find a family that adores them.
Sven is still with us, but he’s making great progress with the help of a dedicated volunteer who’s working with him to bring out his lovable nature. We know the right adopter is out there, and with a little more time, Sven will be ready to find his forever home too.
