The Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant from the Petfinder Foundation played a crucial role in helping Sully find his forever home.
At 9 years old, Sully had been with us for nearly a year, waiting for someone to see the wonderful dog he is. Thanks to the grant, we were able to highlight Sully and showcase his playful personality, love for water, and affectionate nature.
By providing essential supplies and covering key expenses, we helped ease a potential adopter’s worries about bringing a senior dog like Sully’s home. A sponsored adoption fee and $325 in veterinary care ensured Sully was healthy and ready for his new life, while the food, supplements, and senior-friendly treats gave his new family peace of mind knowing they could meet his dietary needs.
A personalized collar, a cozy bed, and a sturdy kennel made sure Sully was comfortable from day one. By setting his adopter up with everything needed to care for him, we helped remove the fear of the costs that often come with adopting a senior pet, making it easier for Sully to find the loving home he deserved.
The additional support allowed us to encourage adopters to consider giving a senior dog a chance, and it made all the difference: Sully has finally found the loving home he deserves!
