How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We have so many animals go through kennel-rest periods due to injuries or severe emaciation. The beds wash up SO well! They have been through quarantines with us, and they've prevented further skin breakdown and injury on some very ill little ones. They've provided cushion for those immediately post-op.

Lincoln (first photo) is one of our babies who came to us with a complete humerus fracture. We were lucky enough that surgery and pins allowed for a complete repair (second photo). He is currently on week eight of kennel rest. His bed has been there through it all with him, keeping him comfy and protecting his leg.

He has been adopted! He will be going home in a few weeks. His new family are actually the ones who saw him get hit by a car and took him to the shelter, as they were an hour from their vet. They couldn’t stop thinking about him and are very excited to bring him home.
