The Kia Pet Adoption grant helped us place more adoptable cats in homes by offering reduced adoptions fees in the spring ahead of kitten season, opening up more foster space during our busiest time of the year.

This grant allowed us to help many cats, but one in particular held a special place in our hearts during his time with us; he continues to be a volunteer favorite since his adoption.

Chuck was found by one of our volunteers outside her home; he is a big ol’ tomcat who clearly had faced many years on the streets. His big exterior houses the biggest heart. Chuck is a total lovebug, and a big ol’ softy. He instantly loved everyone he met, human and cat!

To no one’s surprise, Chuck was adopted very quickly by a wonderful family.
