Humane Society of Stillwater: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We are a small shelter that transfers in cats and dogs who are set to be euthanized at other shelters. This year we have had a record number of kittens who needed to be rescued. Thanks to the Bar Dog Operation Grant, we were able to purchase microchips and vaccines for 100 kittens.

How many pets did this grant help?

100

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

We had two kittens (first and second photos) who were brought in to our shelter very underweight and sick. They immediately went to a foster home for extra care. Once they started feeling better, they came back to the shelter. They will soon be altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption.

Squeaky, the black kitten, and Pete, the brown tabby, are just two of the lucky kittens who were helped by our Bar Dog Operation Grant.
