Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

In support of Justice for Children and Youth (JFCY), we worked to assist a community member who needed our help!

Honey and Prince (first photo) were an adorable duo who didn’t have an opportunity to be fixed before they had an unexpected litter of pups. Unfortunately, their owner is experiencing hard times, and is expecting a baby in February. Honey and Prince’s owner needed our help to cover the costs for their spay and neuter, plus veterinary care for the puppies (including the pups’ spay and neuter) so she wouldn’t need to worry about these expenses with a new baby on the way.

Four of the pups, Bambi (second photo), Daisy (third photo), Grizzly (third photo), and Rosie (fourth photo), were eventually transferred to our rescue and fostered. They were 7 months old and a mix of shepherd, rottweiler, and Cane Corso. They were all very sweet and worked on their socializing and house training.

Bambi and Rosie are now adopted and doing well in their new homes, while Daisy and Grizzly are waiting for their permanent homes to come around.

You can meet Daisy here.
