Project MEOW: Emergency Medical Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Because we are an all-volunteer and 100% donation-based rescue, the Emergency Medical Grant was especially helpful when foster kitten Bobby Crusher had to be rushed to the emergency hospital for an intestinal obstruction. The final vet bill for Bobby's surgery and recovery was $4,981.23, and the grant helped cover some of that cost. In a small rescue, every dollar makes a huge difference and allows us to continue our lifesaving work for the kitties in our community. We are so grateful for the Petfinder Foundation's generosity and commitment to rescue groups in need.

Bobby Crusher has used up a few of his nine lives on his journey to finding his forever home.
Bobby was born in a scrapyard and was narrowly rescued from a car crusher when bystanders heard him meowing with all his might. There was no mom around and his five siblings succumbed to disease, but this little fighter never gave up and found himself rescued.
All was going well in his foster home UNTIL Bobby decided to eat a straw and some string and needed emergency surgery to remove the blockage. Still, he fought and survived the surgery!
With the loving care of his foster mom, Bobby made a full recovery and embarked on his next adventure: finding his forever family! Bobby was adopted in June 2024 and now he also has a loving feline brother to watch over him.
