How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

With the help of this grant, we were able to replace old and chewed huts and enclosures for the small mammals in our care, as well as restock their enrichment items. Our guinea pigs, rats, and rabbits were so thrilled to get some new and exciting things to make their time with us in the shelter comfortable and fun.

Michelle the rabbit has to be one of the smartest rabbits we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. For that reason, her enrichment needs were very high. Without enough play and puzzles, she could be a little bit standoffish. With the Petfinder Foundation grant, we were able to get her some new and challenging food puzzles and toys to keep her entertained. Having that outlet made her so much happier and she was adopted shortly after!
