How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Kia Pet Adoption Grant funding allowed us to offer $100 off of 20 dog adoption fees. We have been at capacity for dogs for some time. Having this funding to help 20 of our dogs find their forever homes was amazing!

Cream (first photo) was one of the dogs adopted during our Kia Pet Adoption event.

Cream was surrendered in December 2023 due to his family splitting up. In March 2024, he was adopted and returned a day later. Later that month, he was adopted and returned two days later. Both times his adopters stated that he had too much energy.

One of our volunteers spent a lot of time working with Cream. Cream even came to a fundraiser at a local restaurant and was a very well-behaved boy. Of course, many of the customers snuck him some snacks and he loved it. There were even some girls on their way to a daddy-daughter dance and they all visited Cream at the restaurant. He loved all the attention from the girls.

At the beginning of April 2024, Cream was adopted during the Kia Pet Adoption event (second photo). His new family reports he is settling in well and doing great!
