How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We understand that adoption fees and ongoing care are prohibitive for some hopeful adopters, so we decided to take that part out of the equation for one lucky senior cat. This grant helped one lonely senior be adopted. Additionally, it inspired hope in our volunteers, fosters, and adopters that more seniors will find loving homes.

We chose Daisy for the grant. She is a sweet 14-year-old cat who was continuously overlooked by adopters.

This generous grant from the Petfinder Foundation covered Daisy’s adoption fees as well as all her supplies, food, and medical expenses.

The next hopeful adopter discovered that she could afford this very sweet cat. Daisy was adopted. She is now at home with a very loving pet mom.
